Introduction:

Pizza is one of the most famous fast foods in the world, loved by everyone from children to adults. Today we will make it with basic home ingredients. This recipe has a crispy base, tangy pizza sauce, juicy chicken, and lots of cheese. You can try this recipe in a pan or oven. Before you begin, preheat your oven or pan well and gather all the ingredients so that the cooking process is smooth and organized. This small preparation step ensures that your pizza cooks evenly and all the flavors blend well. 

Delicious chicken pizza with colorful toppings and spicy sauce

Ingredients:

• For the dough 

• All purpose flour - 2 cups 

• Yeast - 1 teaspoon  ( instant dry)

• Sugar - 1 teaspoon 

• Salt  - 1/2 teaspoon 

• Warm water- 3/4 cup 

• Olive oil or regular oil - 2 tablespoons 

For pizza sauce 

• Tomatoes - 2 (large size, blended)

• Garlic-2 cloves (chopped)

• Red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon 

• Oregano 1/2 teaspoon 

• Salt 1/2 teaspoon 

• Sugar 1/2 teaspoon 

• Oil 1tablespoon 

• Tomato ketchup - 2 tablespoons (optional, for sweet-tangy flavor)

For chicken toppings 

• Boneless chicken 200 grams (small pieces)

• Yogurt 2 tablespoons 

• Red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon 

• Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon 

• Salt 1/2 teaspoon 

• Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon 

• Lemon juice 1 teaspoon 

• Oil 1 tablespoon 

For toppings and garnish 

• Mozzarella cheese 1 to 1.5 cups (grated)

• Onions 1 (sliced)

• Capsicum 1 (sliced)

• Olives 1 tablespoon (optional)

• Oregano and chili flakes for garnish 

Preparation steps:

1) prepare the dough:

In a bowl, take warm water. Add sugar and yeast, and let it sit for 10 minutes to activate.

Now add flour, salt, and oil and knead into a soft dough. 

Keep the dough in a warm place for 1 hour to rise and double in size.

2) prepare the chicken:

Marinate the chicken with all spices and yogurt for at least 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and cook the chicken until it's dry and tender. Set aside.

3) make the pizza sauce 

Heat oil in a pan and lightly saute chopped garlic. 

Add blended tomatoes, red chili powder, salt, oregano, and sugar. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes until the sauce thickens. 

Finally, mix in the ketchup and set aside.

4) assembling the pizza

Roll the dough on a flat surface into a round base (medium thickness).

Evenly spread the sauce on the base. 

Add cooked chicken, sliced onions, capsicum, and olives. 

Top it with grated mozzarella cheese and sprinkle oregano and chili flakes. 

5) baking (oven or pan)

Oven method

Preheat the oven at 200°C for 10 minutes

Place the pizza on a tray and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden. 

Tawa / pan method (without oven)
Preheat a tawa or non-stick pan on low flame. 

Place the pizza base on it and cover it with a lid.

Cook on low flame for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese melts and the base becomes crispy. 

Tips:

• You can pre-cook the pizza base for 5 minutes if you prefer it extra crispy. 

• Homemade sauce tastes richer than store-bought. 

• For more cheesy flavor, mix a little cheddar cheese with mozzarella. 

• For a vegetable version, skip chicken and use mushrooms, sweet corn, or paneer instead.
